Who's running this site?

Carol Whitfield Golf runs the site, the books and the membership.

Any question about your data goes to [email protected].

Walking in

Do you track me while I browse?

No. You don't need an account, and there's no sign-up form here.

You won't find advertising cookies, tracking pixels, Google or Facebook trackers or analytics scripts on my pages.

Cloudflare is my host. To deliver and protect the pages, it processes your IP address.

From video to page

What gets written down when I use a link from your videos?

My QR codes and video links (the /go/ ones, and those with “?src=” codes) keep a short record. Time, which video or link, which page you landed on, and your country.

Plus a scrambled code built from your IP address. Your IP address itself is never stored, and nobody can reverse that code. It tells me which of my video lessons are actually helping.

One small cookie, kept for 30 days, remembers which version of the book page you saw. That's the only cookie I set. Hotmart's checkout uses its own cookies under its own policy.

Checkout time

When I buy a book, who sees what?

On its checkout, Hotmart collects your name, email, billing and payment details. Your card number never reaches me.

Hotmart passes me your email, what you bought, the price, your country and the video or link you came from. On book orders I keep your email only in scrambled form.

Joining the class

What do you keep once I join Carol Whitfield Golf Membership?

From Hotmart: your name, email, country and time zone, your membership status and dates, and which video or link sent you. I keep them to send your weekly lesson.

My letters report back whether they were delivered and which links got clicked.

Left at the tee

Will I get emails if I quit the checkout halfway?

If a checkout isn't finished, or the payment fails, Hotmart may share your name and email with me. I may send up to two reminder emails.

One click ends them. And if you already bought, you won't hear a peep about it.

Your questions

What happens to a question I send you?

I keep the message and your email address so I can answer. After 90 days, the full raw copy of that email is deleted.

The text itself stays, so I can follow our conversation.

A drafting helper

Do you use AI when you write back to me?

An AI writing assistant may help draft my replies, so you hear back quicker. That's the only thing your message is used for there.

What it's for

What do you actually do with my information?

Deliver books and letters. Answer your questions. Handle refunds. Learn which videos help.

Now and then I'll tell you about other books from Carol Whitfield Golf. Each of those emails carries an unsubscribe link.

Off limits

Do you ever sell my details?

No. I don't sell it, I don't rent it, and I don't share it for advertising.

My assistants

Who else handles my data for you?

Hotmart takes care of payments, book delivery and membership billing. Resend sends out my emails. Cloudflare is the host: it also stores my data and receives email sent to me.

Each follows its own privacy policy.

You're in charge

Can I stop emails, or see and delete what you keep?

Yes. Click the one-click unsubscribe link in any email, or reply with “unsubscribe”.

Live anywhere in the US, California too? You can ask to see, correct or delete your data. Email [email protected] and I'll answer within 30 days.

Hotmart holds its own purchase records, as the law requires.

How long I keep it

How long do you hang on to my information?

Membership details stay while you're a member, until you ask me to delete them.

Unsubscribe, and all that's left is a scrambled “do not email” note, so you're never emailed again. As for order records, I keep those for as long as the law says I must.

Grown-ups only

Do you collect anything from kids?

My books and membership are for adults. I never knowingly collect data from children under 13.

I'll change this page, and the “Last updated” date along with it.
